Lowell Tuttman
Hi, I'm Lowell Tuttman, CEO of Universal Consulting Inc, out here in Woodinville wine country near Seattle, Wa. Im a Microsoft alum, a > 10 year veteran and have done everything from Program Management, API marketing, Interactive TV, and Social Networking. I rolled out PC Excel, ODBC, and initiated the first Product Planning Position at Microsoft. Now I concentrate on interesting intellectual problems that need orthogonal points of view.
After spending 27 years in the software industry, running my own businesses, working at Microsoft for 10 years in the mid 80's to mid 90's, and then serving as either directors or advisors to startups, my broad and varied experiences have left me with a unique approach to thinking about software and products. I like to work with nascent technologies and companies, so I can effect the building and guiding of both, and I consider myself a people person, so I also like the human aspect to engineering. I am an orthogonal thinker, and am able to consider many factors all at once leading to a different kind of thought process than most people use. I look forward to difficult problems and challenges and have the track record to prove I can deal with them. Whether I am getting paid for it or not, technology is my true passion and I spend my time thinking and philosophising, and sometimes pontificating about it.
